Shrewsbury Christmas lights

Today I went to Shrewsbury to meet a friend for coffee and to do a bit of shopping.

I went on the bus and as we drove along there was a loud and continuous racket of electronic noises and voices constantly repeating. After a while the driver stopped the bus and asked what the noise was. One of a group of ladies said "I must have wrapped it wrong as it was making that noise on the train yesterday". 

The noise continued for the whole of the 45 minute journey - she wasn't bothered, didn't apologise and just continued chatting to her friends. It irritated me but I felt especially sorry for a blind man with his dog as they couldn't even look at the passing countryside to distract themselves.

I did a bit of shopping and then had soup in a cafe before meeting my friend for an enjoyable chat.

The Christmas lights in town were looking beautiful and I liked the way that they were reflected in the windows of the buildings.

Fortunately the bus ride back was peaceful!
