Help Us, We're Confused

Brexit confusion plumbed new depths. It was another day of astonishing theatre, one that saw Theresa May deliver a last-minute masterstroke. You've got to hand it to her. She plays an extraordinarily straight hand. I'd never sit down with her across a poker table. 

Thanks to all those brave enough to offer comment on yesterday's blip. For some reason, a few of you thought I was being satirical. I could never joke about anything this serious. To my mind, the more often and more strongly the Prime Minister dismisses the call for a second referendum - to the extent where she sounded like a broken record this afternoon - the more I believe this is just what she is secretly seeking.
