Lift Shaft.

No, I don't know why I photographed it either.  No metaphor or pun intended, no link to today's theme for Mono Monday, no deep philosophical statement - it's just the lift shaft.  It was lit, which is unusual, and caught my eye - something to do with shadows and secrets - a view not usually seen.  

Weather wise, a dreadful day - sullen skies, which by mid afternoon, had opened up to constant cold rain.  Visibility decreasing as rapidly as the day closed, and now a whole evening of heavy downpour.
