Early Winter

The deer were at the window this morning to munch what was left of the summer's roses. They spent the rest of the daylight hours hovering around the house, always a sign of a hard winter ahead. Saw two Robins underneath the feeders, both male and quite at ease with each. Another sure sign that the wildlife is struggling already this winter.
By 4pm it was a balmy minus 4c.
