Sound at home again

Visited my uncle today at his home where he's returned to after some months in hospital. . Ever since that he's to wear the alarmring round his neck at home as he's supposed to press the alarmbutton when he suffers another stroke, or falls down etc. ..... he's accepted the device as it allowed him to return home, but he's not convinced that it will be of any use to him when something happens to his consciousness.

Sometimes the days are long to him and he's annoyed by not remembering on instant all he wants to speak off or search for - to me it's a revelation to hear him speak much more on the colorful social and personal issues and less on academic items.
