Bethlehem Live Nativity Pageant ...

This weekend was the 40th Annual Live Bethlehem Nativity Pageant.  It is performed on both Saturday and Sunday and we like to go for the animals if nothing else.  

Our favorites are the camels ... which I have blipped a few times before. 

Tule the Camel was at another event so Tim (pictured with Tippy in upper right) and James (not pictured) brought different camels this time.  Tippy is Tule's daughter!  They also brought the two donkeys pictured in the collage. The shaggy one is a Poitou donkey and is about one year old. The breed is European .... notably from France.  Sadly I didn't get it's name .... nor any info on the smaller donkey.  Tim and James travel here every year with their menagerie from Natural Bridge, Virginia! 

Also pictured is one of the "Roman Soldiers" who can't take her eyes off her phone!  I don't think they had smartphones at the time of the original Nativity! And I couldn't resist adding the horse sticking his tongue out at me!
