Putting up the Tree

Walk to Dana and Jim's to see if OilMan  left his coat there last night. He was about to walk out in someone else's coat until he discovered that the keys in the pocket didn't work on our car..(It was a great party)
Enlist Jim to drive us home and help OilMan bring the tree inside...
Check stand to see if it fits...
Make trip to Prickett's for a bigger stand...
Get the ladder, move the car and get the ornaments down from the shelf above where the car usually is...
Spread plastic and towels on the floor...
Decide we want the tree in a different location...
Move everything to new location...
Test new stand to be sure it doesn't leak...
Bring all the bins of ornaments up from the garage...
Throw away all the lights that don't work...
Trip to Walgreens for more lights...
A second trip to Walgreen's for more lights...Discussion about whether to put the real birds' nests in varying stages of disintegration on the tree...
Discussion unresolved, we go to Dana and Jim's to help them eat all the leftover food from last night's party...
Leave living room full of boxes, wrappings, ornaments and plastic bins, tree needles dirt and leaves almost completely obscuring view of tree...
No sign of eggnog, Christmas carols, sugar cookies or a warm fire blazing in the hearth, but no bad words or fights either...
Blake and Ozzie were a big help with the tree...(see extra)
