Wayne and the wood burner

Poor Wayne is working 7 days a week at the moment trying to get all his customers' woodburners installed for Christmas. I got the Sunday morning slot and was still in bed when he texted me to say he'd be there in 30 mins so no lie in for me!

I've chosen an inset woodburner and the chimney breast was built to fit the fire. So in theory that meant the stove would neatly and elegantly slide into the frame, a few screws would be tightened and that would be that.

Needless to say it didn't go quite that smoothly. The opening in the chimney breast was about 1mm too small so Wayne basically used a sledgehammer and brute force to get it in place, which took over an hour. There was a point when the woodburner was firmly wedged in the hole with no hope of ever coming out again and refusing to budge in any further. I'm not quite sure what 'plan B' was.....

Anyway, it's now mission accomplished so at least the builders will have somewhere nice and warm for their coffee breaks from now on. Well at least that's one thing less to worry about.

Today's blip is some frosty grass in this morning's sunlight. You could have worked that out for yourselves I think.

Have a good week blipfriends.
