Common

There have been different mergansers hanging around my favourite area this Fall/Winter.  Today this Common Merganser was busy fishing in the little bit of open water.  He did get a fish but I prefer this image of him in the sun showing off his plumage.

Sunny but chilly was the order of the day.  Snow is almost all gone...once again.  I do believe we will have a white Christmas though, so that is good.
