Nicky and her Nikon

At the end of the day

It was raining quite heavily this morning so our planned long walk with Murdoch did not happen - we took him out later when the rain had stopped and the sky was blue once again.

I made lunch early as we were going to the Carol Service at school today. They had two services today for the parents and families, one at 4pm, which is the one we attended, and there will be another at 7pm. Thomas sings in the chapel choir so he is involved in three carol services this week, as there is another one later in the week for the pupils. The choir sang beautifully, especially the little treble voices - Christmas carols really do need those high voices in so many parts. Many of my favourite carols were sung, including O Come O Come Emmanuel.

I thought the sun starting to set over the rugby pitch at school was lovely tonight - well, this was at about 3.30pm - it sets so early these days but by new year you can already see the days getting ever so slightly longer. The long dark nights are wonderful to show off all the Christmas lights, and I don't mind them at all.

An early night tonight, I will be watching more of The Marvelous Mrs Maisel on TV - I am hooked!
