JR claims she's feeling much better today, though she was easily persuaded not to go out in the cold. Waitrose staff must have notice that she didn’t come in for her free Sunday paper.

Actually, it wasn’t very cold - when I took Archie to Braidburn Valley, it was positively balmy. I could have been without my coat. It's great there - Archie doesn’t come home muddy, so doesn’t need a bath.

In the afternoon we watched a few episodes of 'Little Drummer Girl'. Very obscure. I really couldn’t be bothered and dozed off a couple of times, which didn’t interfere too much with my grasp of the plot, which was zilch.
