A lazy start and then noting the rather wonderful azure the sky had turned, out.
Haweswater an easy seeming choice, but one I think we'd find hard to better. Arriving just gone ten the sun hadn't yet cleared the hills, but the play of light through the valleys was simply fantastic.
We wandered out to Riggindale and the wonderfully named Bowderthwaite Bridge, Missy already exhibiting the traits of her breed and covering at least twice the ground we did. She also appears to like to climb, a good omen.
To the West clouds shrouded High Street, but we ambled back in the best of the day.
