ON A WING AND A PRAYER....

..... after a full day of "stuff".... gardening, cleaning, Christmas wrapping ready for post etc etc .....decided I needed some fresh air.

Went down to the local park late and found a group of red breasted cockatoos - commonly called galahs, feeding on the grass seeds.

Liked this one as it took off - as it really shows the "workings" of their wing feathers as it is getting airborne.

They are normally found in pairs the male has dark eyes whilst the female has pink/red eyes. Also liked this one showing the brighter colouring under wing.
