Napier
This is a great little city, very vibrant and bustling. The buildings are famous for the amount of Art Deco architecture, a consequence of a bad earth quake in 1931, when much of the rebuilding was in this style.
Thank you for your kind commiserations about our breakin yesterday. The doors and windows were all deadlocked so the young, thin, agile thieves had to climb back out of the bathroom window and obviously cut themselves in the process. Ha ....we had also put away all the spare keys to the garage and car...lucky. The police photographed all the house - lucky it was clean and tidy, along with the opened Christmas presents. They probably have black remains from fingerprint dust...so much for getting ready early.
We are getting nice weather here in NZ which the locals are pleased about. It’s been very wet recently. It’s not as dramatic here, nice gentle hills and coastline. Sheep, timber, wine and apples are high on their list of industries.
