Das Beinhaus - The Ossuary

Here you see the bones of 20000 ex-citizens of Oppenheim (a small town on the banks of the Rhein).  The bones date from 1400 to 1750 and they make an interesting, if somewhat ghoulish, Blip. 

We ex-party animals discovered that we can't keep going out all the time.  So we stopped.  

We went to Oppenheim.  You would never describe Oppenheim as exciting.  It has a weekly market that, today,  consisted of exactly 2 stalls and no customers.

We enjoyed the church, the bones and lunch in a small Italian restaurant.

We came home, I cooked soup, we blethered, we ate, we blethered some more & now at 11pm, I'm the only one not in bed.
