No way that we would go near the central districts of Paris. Our hotel is close to the red zone and already after breakfast we read about the first usage of tear gas nearby. So we decided to walk towards Neuilly-Sur-Seine (picture of the Christmas market) and La Défense (see extra). The police presence was enormous everywhere and we saw how even small groups of gilets jaunes were stopped by the police and searched for dangerous objects.
