Sitting at a table outside the bakery,

too short for my feet to touch the ground.

Watching busy people walk in and out...

the sugary air hitting them hard as a brick wall. 

Too small for coffee, but...

the smell of freshly baked croissants has my attention.

They give me the same warm feeling as my mom's smile.
