Quercus Ilex.
In English it's the Holm Oak and this is an acorn of such a tree. It seems to be a popular species with many people, I much prefer the "English" Oak.
There is a small Holm Oak growing in a Friday customer's garden which I am cutting into a standard about 10 feet tall but the growth is shaped as an arrowhead.
Today started raining very heavily and my first job ended up digging out a drain pipe which lead to a soak away, clearing the roots and soil that was blocking it and replacing it.
Last job of the day ended up with drinking tea, eating biscuits and sitting Infront of a roaring fire chatting with the customers. I know which one I preferred!!
