1st Advent
Outside it's snowing again -1°C (with windchill -5°C), the dogs have been walked & fed and are fast asleep. Angie is about to set off to coffee & then evening snack with 12 friends near Fuerstenfeldbruck (90km). I'm staying home as a longer car journey would not be good for Luna. Three cats are upstairs lying on the heated water bed and Luis has taken position on the tiled stove which has been burning non stop for days. Now that just remains for me to find room on the sofa and enjoy a lazy Sunday afternoon ..... if only it wasn't for the chickens to be fed at 15:00, the horse bedding to be done, the paddocks & sand school to be cleared of horse droppings while it's still light.........
PS Blacksmith came after it was dark last night so limited photo opportunities but here is one at Flickr. Luna was very brave once she found out how good old horse hoof & horn tasted and the blacksmith hammering away did not diturb her and he really did hammer as he doesn't heat the irons. Rosie's hooves are improving in leaps & bounds thanks to Lothar's work. I think even he was surprised at her progress in 7 weeks.
