Spiral

There are still some new leaves appearing on this climbing plant, even though it has turned quite chilly in the last few days, with people (including me) complaining indignantly about winter. We have sun and bright light, though. A quiet Sunday morning after a lovely evening out having supper with friends - on the way home the temperature was hovering around 0°C and the stars were sparkling in the clear air. This morning we left a warming beef and red wine casserole simmering while we went to the Salon de Noël, a fair organised by the Foyer Rural, filling the salle des fêtes with people and cheerful stalls where we chatted to friends and met some new ones.
