Busy Harbour
7.1C bright sunny morning, showery afternoon. SW/WSW wind to 37 mph with gusts to 48 mph by 2pm.
Fergus and I went for our walk after lunch. We went round to the harbour and round the old quay. The old tug Duke of Normandy which we have often seen in the sea lock at Crinan was in the harbour just next to the new Pilot Boat.
We walked out along the shore side of the park. As we walked along the park the first very dark shower cloud came over town from the West. We carried on along Kilkerran Road to the cemetery and came back home along the street side of the park and through town passing the town hall and the bookshop (open).
Ocean Pride is here to collect the last batch of wind turbine sections. The road closed signs have been collected and taken away so there will be no more deliveries to the quay for a while. The cranes on Ocean Pride are locked in travelling configuration until the high winds abate.
On the Clip while walking:
Three short podcasts with Neil Brand (English dramatist, composer and author) discussing movie music, then a podcast with Mark Kermode (film critic) playing and discussing movie soundtracks in his personal collection.
