Hospital reception

0620 leave home.
0727 arrive at hospital in Cambridge.
0850 taken to theatre.
0935 returned from theatre.
1000 soup for JJ and smoked salmon sandwich for me. Tea for two.
1040 leave hospital.
1140 arrive home.

A new lens in JJ’s left eye giving him long distance vision at 0.3, I think. His right eye was done ten years ago and is at 1.75. Apparently he won’t need to wear glasses except for very small print. At last he won’t need to worry about where he’s left them. Hurrah!

He is now snoring quietly on the settee.
