Mornings

There's an interesting quality to the light at this time of year I've noticed. In the mornings you often get these bright golden beams streaming in through the windows, that seem somehow warm no matter how low the temperature is outside. Then somewhere around lunchtime, someone flicks a switch behind the world, and the light starts to change, becoming greyer and colder, and you think, 'hey, the sun'll be gone soon and it doesn't seem that long since I got up...'
I am, for no apparent reason, watching 'Local Hero'. I have seen it before, but not for many moons. So far it seems very 80s....
