Transect recorders meeting

Something to brighten up a damp December day - the annual meeting of the Cumbria Butterfly Transect Recorders.
In spite of the great summer we had, most people reported a slight decline in total numbers of butterflies although some species did quite well. There are around 30 transects walked in the Morecambe Bay area so the cumulative amount of data over the past 20 years is pretty impressive and provides a good idea of what is happening, although what to do about it is another matter.
Better still, Gilly and Graham have arrived for early Christmas! No one more delighted than Pepper!!
