The Big Smoke

New Zealand's largest city - Auckland (though not the capital, which is Wellington).

We took a drive up Mount Eden this morning on our way to the airport. This is the CBD as seen looking across the crater of the dormant volcano. Auckland city has grown around the 7 dormant volcanoes - I hope it is a few more thousand years before any activity occurs again.
