Reflecting Floor
Once again we were on our way home via terminal 2 (T2) in Heathrow Airport. I used to think this airport was one of the worst I'd encountered, but since the new T2 opened I've had to revise my opinion. Easy check-in routines, relatively short waiting times in Security, plenty of places to sit and a generally pleasant atmosphere make travelling through here fairly stress free, almost a pleasant experience.
This reflecting floor and the reflected art work were photographed from one of the seats in the upstairs section of T2. I was sitting there with our hand baggage while Jan was foraging for meal-deals.
We finally reached Sundsvall Airport about 11 o'clock in the evening. Walking to the car it was so good to breath in the clean, cold, dry air of a frosty Sweden and see the stars glistening in the dark sky, a real contrast to a damp and never dark London.
It has been fun to be away in the UK but it was so lovely to fall into our own bed, in our own home, at the end of a long day.
