A Corner Of England In The Sub-Tropics

Up early today so I could get a walk in before the heat kicked in. Maleney is set in rolling hills in south-east Quennsland and stays green thanks to mountain ranges which allow rain to drop on this lucky area.

It looks a lot like the English countryside, an illusion strengthened when you see the herds of Guernsey cattle grazing here. You can just about see them in the distance in this shot, some drinking from the Obi Obi River.

I've blipped early today as I'm off to Brisbane in the afternoon to sing with Morningsong Choir at the turning on of the Christmas lights on Oxford Street, Bulimba. Although I'll have my camera with me, it might be a rather late night.
