It is Cold and Very Windy

In the week I have been here we have only had one full day without rain. It has been really warm which is something. Not so today. 

In this shot of the Akaroa Village shops, the sky looks wonderful. If you look south it is really black and looks like rain may be here again before long. And the strong winds are so cold. 

Hopfully tomorrow when a blip friend is visiting Akaroa on a Cruise Ship the winds would have eased. I do know they sometimes they can't come a shore if it is too windy.

I have been trying to tackle my garden in the rain as the weeds had taken over and you couldn't see the plants in the garden. The lawn was so long it was hard to mow. I have never seen so much growth in such a short time. With the warmth and all the rain which has been just about everyday for the past month or so...the weeds have been loving it. Not so for many plants. The roses have really suffered. And a lot of my bedding plants have rotted away.
