...To be viewed by all...........

Up early this morning and off to the tackle shop......God knows why........I'm not fishing tomorrow.....I'm going to my niece's 18th birthday lunch.

Shaun greeted me with, "Glad you're here I need you to come out with me tonight."
Turns out a local angling club are having a Christmas "do" and Presentation of trophies and two of our committee were invited.

So....spent the afternoon watching England trounce New Zealand at rugby.....twice!.....and United beating Reading in a 7 goal thriller....and then got shaved and showered........and waited for Shaun to pick me up.

When we got to the venue the place was jumping....we were greeted like royalty....a couple of drinks and a chat later.....and the bombshell dropped......we were expected to present the trophies!

We did our duty.....then we were fed....and more drinks.....several of the anglers approached me.....I used to teach them....even the gorgeous barmaid came over for a kiss.....I taught her too! This minor celebrity lark ain't half bad!

We bailed out about 10.30.....I have a long drive tomorrow....but I reckon if we'd stayed until the end we would have been well taken with drink.

This is a shot not of tonight's trophies but my trophies at home.
