Christmas wine

On a whim, we drove down to Gaillac this afternoon to buy some decent wine to take back to Ireland for Christmas.  Before we left we ordered heating oil to be delivered tomorrow.  This is in the hope that the plumber might, at a time of his own choosing, eventually get the new boiler working!  We encountered the yellow vests "gilets jaunes" a few times, but we did not get held back.  France seems to be in a state of political turmoil at the moment, like a few other places I could mention!
