2018 Monday — The Book Parade

“The Merry Month of Books for Christmas” is a tradition we’re glad we started with our great-grandkids several years ago. This December Mr.Fun & I are presenting again to our two great-grandkids “the book parade.” We’ve done this tradition several times in the past for Tristan. He’s 12 years old and in 6th grade and his teacher recently reported that Tristan is reading at an 11th grade-level. That sparked us to do the book parade again this year to include 3-year-old Jade so she too will fall in love with reading.

We do a combo of new books and books we buy at the “Friends of the Library” store at local public libraries.

For this first week of books, we purchased new board books for Jade. It will help her learn to be careful with book pages. She’ll have to learn not to tear the thin paper pages in the books she’ll get later in the month.
