Poppies in the wind

Nature Photography club mid week trip today, went for a walk around the inner city. Good to see there is building going on, but there are still a lot of empty spaces. Sad to walk past an empty site where a building collapsed during the February 2011 earthquake and 18 people died, and others were injured and many had their lives changed forever.

The poppies were growing on a vacant site where St Luke's church used to stand.
