The Sky Tower is 328 metres high and stands out on the skyline of Auckland  It is higher than the Eiffel Tower in Paris.
It weighs 21 million kilos, with 15,000 cubic metres of concrete and 2,000 tonnes of reinforced steel. Construction took 33 months and it is built to withstand an earthquake with an epicentre within 20 kilometres of it's base with a magnitude of 8.0 on the Richter scale.
