Cheers for Hughendon

We went over the Hughendon again today for some fresh air in the sunshine.

Just  before the entrance to the main house is this chair arch. This was the way the furniture makers of High Wycombe greeted Royal visitors such as Queen Victoria. 

A guide on the property who worked in the furniture trade for most of his working life could remember the chair arches being erected in High Wycombe to greet visiting VIPs.
