Tinsel & Teatowels
We slept until 9 this morning.......then up and out. Very foggy, typical, as we were driving over to Congleton to watch granddaughter, Olivia, in her school Christmas Play.....no longer the traditional nativity play, they gave us "Tinsel & Teatowels". A play about a school, with the teachers and pupils, putting on a nativity play, whilst they had Offsted examiners observing them!
Olivia had one of the main roles, as a teacher.
She did brilliantly, remembering all her lines, speaking clearly into the microphone right on cue.....as well as remembering the lyrics to half a dozen songs too!
Todays children dont seem at all put out standing on stage, speaking out loud in front of a fairly large audience.....so much more confident than my, or our childrens eras!
The blip shows Olivia in front of the Bethlehem backdrop, microphone in hand, mid flow, as "Mrs Harding" wearing her teachers lanyard :-)
Ive added another photo in extras, which I prefer, as she was sitting in the "teachers staff room".......but you'd never guess it was a Christmas Play, judging by the surroundings!
We took Olivia home after school, where we spent the rest of the day, with middle son, DiL and Isabella of course, who has been busy at nursery today, in her Snowman Sprint....as you can also see in extras!
An easier run home this evening thankfully, than the foggy one over there this morning!!
