Sky-Clad

A Digambara ('Sky-Clad') Jain Monk cheerfully promotes his beliefs from a poster amidst the chaotic overhead wiring of Old Delhi.

We never actually saw a Jain monk going naked in any of the Indian cities we visited. We were told that they spend most of their time inside dedicated Digambara Jain Temples, and if they ever need to go out for anything, they tend to go before dawn or after dusk, to avoid any of the embarrassment that might result from their walking through busy street in the middle of the day.
