Wellington, New Zealand

Today we docked in Wellington, New Zealand's beautiful capital city.  Glorious weather at last!  This is the view from the top of Mt. Victoria, looking towards the city and the port.  If you squint, you can see our ship in the top right corner of the photograph.  Those lovely white and yellow flowers were brimming over with bees.  One of them stung me as I took the picture!  We also visited the WETA Workshop, where props for movies such as the Lord of the Rings trilogy are made.  A very interesting place, but sadly no photography was allowed there.  Afterwards, we hiked to several film locations used in the Lord of the Rings trilogy -- again very interesting, and scenic, but difficult to photograph due to heavy shade.
