Bingley
We still have apples to process so this morning I put on the Howgate Wonders to cook in amongst other jobs. After lunch, we took a walk to the garden centre, which was heaving with families arriving to see Father Christmas, so it was a quick in and collect what we wanted and out again. From there we walked a circuit of St Ives, taking a different path for a change, via our hill reps circuit to take a long at the Aire Valley across the alien landscape where the trees were felled. This is where my blip was taken...and bracketed due to the conditions.
The famous Damart Mill chimney takes centre stage above Three Rise Locks on the Leeds Liverpool Canal. When I looked closely at the blip, the trees at the top of the chimney appear like smoke!
Back home, I turned the Howgate Wonders in to pies for the freezer. They have a good flavour but do not need sugar adding which makes them feel healthier somehow, ha hah! Then it was time to prepare the veg, mix the yorkshire puddings and put in the roast chicken for tea. I've also booked us in for Bohemian Rhapsody at Ilkley Cinema in a week's time!
