Tynemouth Priory.

A lovely day spent strolling along the sea front at Whitley Bay this morning, avoiding getting too wet being a bonus! It's the first time I've seen the transformed sea front, I'm really impressed. The Spanish City is an absolute credit to all those involved. When you think how derelict the building was and how dirty that white dome had become, well it's incredible.

A trip to Tynemouth to enjoy looking around the famous market and the little shops was a real treat this afternoon. Lots of lovely quaint festive creations to be seen...and by the late afternoon there was a sign of brightness...leading to a beautiful sunset.

I absolutely love this area of the country and the coastline is one of the very best you'll find...anywhere. I love Yorkshire, but I really do adore the seaside, Northumberland and the great North East. :-)
