Baking

Experimenting with a light fruit cake recipe. I’ve soaked the dry fruit beforehand in hot water (not alcohol), I’ve used less milk and sugar than usual and I’ve used my own mixed spice blend, made from scratch a few weeks ago (it smells divine but now I’ve used it all up!) I’ve got everything crossed it works out ok. If it does I’ll mKe one to take to my folks for Xmas.

Blip is my cupboard in the kitchen where I keep my dried fruit and dried seeds, peas and lentils etc
