Robin

Another damp and grey day, but I managed an hour at Spike Island this morning before the rain came in earnest. 
Some nice little birds at the feeding station and some quite tame robins it seems. They were a lot braver than normal. 
Went to my parents for lunch. Brother and two daughters were there too, with the eldest (nearly 18) really upset as she has had her iPhone stolen at a nightclub last night. It's like her right arm has been cut off and she demanded her dad take her into town to get another one......well, a sim card at least. She will use an "old" phone that my brother has had for a few years until she gets a "better" one from somewhere - probably one of her friends will lend her one for a while. 
However, as it wasn't insured (silly girl) and she also hadn't backed it up to the cloud recently since her storage was full (and she refused to pay for more space) she has lost most of her recent stuff.....mostly photos of drunken nights out with her friends for their 18th birthdays! 
After she had gone home, we wondered if she has checked her bank account as there is also a chance that they have used this with Apple pay being activated......none of us are quite sure how it works, but her younger sister says you just tap it and even if the phone is locked, it still works....so there may well be more tears to come....
Hopefully she will have learned her lesson, get it insured and actually decide to take an old crappy phone out when she goes clubbing in future....and not put it down on the bar whilst looking for her card to pay for drinks!

Another trip to Sweden looms next week, my last before Christmas I think, but I'm not looking forward to it so much this time. No other travellers are around so there are less people to have dinner with and everyone else is feeling miserable because of the situation at work. Oh well......only 2 evenings to amuse myself as I don't arrive until nearly 11 o'clock on the evening tomorrow.
