River Misbourne

Drove the short distance to Little Missenden and took a walk along the side of the River Misbourne - one of the Buckinghamshire chalk streams.

Lovely morning and there were scudding clouds and the trees with no leaves showed off their mistletoe.  We took a detour down a small lane over the river and there was this plaque (blip2).  I think I vaguely remember Charlie in The Crown pub when we first came to the area.  Nice sentiment.

Then on the way back a greeting from this very sweet Vietnamese Pig (blip 3) - part of a community of pigs and goats and alpacas.

Just as we returned to the car and clouds came over and we felt rain, so it felt appropriate to pop into the Crown for a glass of red wine.

Nice walk.
