World AIDS Day

It's today. A day to particularly remember all those who have been affected by HIV/AIDS and raise awareness.

I've not seen any red ribbons for sale in any high street shops at all.

So here we have a 'tab rug' spotted in Evolution, the retail arm of the Buddhists (not sure which 'branch') but what caught my eye were the 'red ribbons' poking cheekily out from amongst all the other colours. And it struck me as being a lovely, homely thing. Similar to ones my gran used to make years ago.

It's been a lovely, homely day for me too after a late night yesterday.

A lovely friend dropped by with a few delicious treats for us and Rol gave her one of his winter fruit cakes.

I really do have such a lot to be thankful for.
