And so it begins...

...the madness that is December - for many a seemingly frenetic round of consumerism and partying, this year overshadowed by uncertainty about what the future holds for the UK and all who live and work in it.

I spent most of the day slogging through a report, not a great sacrifice as it was grey and sodden outside. By the time I felt the urge to get some fresh air it was almost dark, so I went into town with my camera to capture the lights. 

Although we still have the uninspiring artificial Christmas tree, the decorations in the Queensgate centre are more elegant than last year's. and we also have two rather magnificent decoratively-lit stags on the edge of the city, which may well feature in a future blip!
