Moment

First day of advent. A chocolate for breakfast then Fiona off to the school fayre, followed by Sarah. I took Charlie to judo then he, I and Samuel went to the fayre to lend a hand. Back for a quick lunch then F went to Effie's and I took the kids out for a walk. My car's still lying out of action at the front door. Fortunately, we don't have to walk far before we leave town. The sun, never too far from the horizon these days, dipped behind a cloud for a moment and cast out these rays to which my photograph does little justice. That was a good moment.

It snowed last night and it has never quite got warm enough today to make the slight covering melt; in fact it's been so cold today that the slight covering of snow has merely become a slight covering of ice.
