I needed new scissors as the old pair had died, however the new pair were so firmly entrenched in their impenetrable plastic shield I could have done with a pair of scissors to open them!

Instead I risked life and limb with a Stanley knife, no injury resulted you'll be pleased to hear apart from to the pesky plastic.
