A blaze of birthday candles

It's my birthday today and unfortunately the amount of candles created quite a fire!

Actually, I went to the Frost Fair at the Whitworth and spent the morning looking at the stalls, watching the brass band, stilt walkers and fire dancers. 

Last night it was my crochet group's Christmas party so it was nice to spend the evening with everyone. The venue even put out a billboard for us, Crochet Christmas Party this way!

The husband and I have just been out for a meal. He's not known for lingering over a meal and the service was so quick we had finished both courses in 30 minutes! Fortunately having a coffee helped to make it stretch out to an hour.
