We don't actually live in this village, but near enough for people such as the local council to include it in our address when writing to us (usually to send us our voting papers or the council tax bill).

It's one of those places which no-one seems to know how to pronounce properly. The variations include "store-ton", "stoor-ton", "stower- (as in flower) ton" and so on. Even V and I differ, I use the first variation and V uses the third.
