Timing

Our timing wasn't great for the afternoon dog walk.  Got caught in a downpour of hail, very bracing!  M's birthday today - have made a sort of plum birthday cake and am letting him make spicy chicken (he's a much better cook than I am).  

Jet lag is doing interesting things, wide awake at 3 in the morning, let's hope that doesn't last long.  Decided to conserve energy and not to go down to see the turning on of the Xmas lights - storm Diana blew the town Xmas tree into the sea the other day, not sure whether replacements lights have been found yet.
