Martinelli Winery

Monsoon rains interspersed with occasional patches of blue sky and intermittent pouring rain produced impressive images. We had to stop at the bottom of our driveway to wait for enough visibility to drive down our narrow curving street with ditches on both sides. 

Now that she had recovered enough to see clients again, the drive to Kathy's has resumed, and it is never boring. Today torrential downpours alternated with outbreaks of sunshine, which glittered from the wet trees and reflected off the running pavements. In the evening the sun will shine underneath the dark clouds and glance off the changing (and falling) leaves of the trees

I grabbed the picture of Martinelli Winery through the car window during a blue spot between storm cells. This is one of the original wineries in Sonoma County and has a nice old time, unchanged atmosphere . One can still go in there with a jug and get it filled with a decent table wine at a very reasonable price.

It is so great to see Kathy mending from brutal surgery and getting back to her old schedule. We told her that she didn't dare do that again or we would both fall to pieces without her. She is truly a ray of sunlight and deserves the rainbow I have put in extras.
